In this guide, I’ll show you how to set up a system that uses ChatGPT to generate custom email replies automatically. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a fully functional workflow that integrates Systeme.io, Pabbly Connect, and ChatGPT to handle email responses seamlessly.

  • Use Pabbly Connect to integrate Systeme.io with ChatGPT.

Step 1: Setting Up a Systeme.io Opt-In Page for Personalization

This step is essential because it allows you to collect personalized information from your audience, such as their biggest challenges or interests. By creating custom fields, you can store this data and use it to generate tailored responses with ChatGPT. The opt-in page also serves as the starting point for triggering the entire automation process.


Here’s how to do it:

  • Create a Systeme.io Account: If you don’t already have one, sign up for a free account.
  • Add or Open a Contact: Go to the "Contacts" section and either create a new contact or open an existing one.
  • Create Custom Fields:
  • Click "Add New Custom Field."
  • Add fields that will help with personalization, such as "What is your biggest problem?" or "What are you interested in?"
  • Add a custom field called "ChatGPT Response" to store the AI-generated reply.
  • Set Up a Funnel:
  • Go to the "Funnels" section and create a new funnel or open an existing one.
  • Add the custom fields and an email field to your opt-in page.
  • Save and publish the page.

At this point, you have a landing page ready to collect personalized data and store ChatGPT responses.

Step 2: Connecting Systeme.io to ChatGPT Using Pabbly Connect

This step is necessary to bridge the gap between Systeme.io and ChatGPT.   • Log in to Pabbly Connect and create a new workflow.
  • Set the trigger as Webhook.
  • Copy the webhook URL provided by Pabbly.
  • Add the Webhook to Systeme.io:
  • Go to your Systeme.io funnel and open "Automation Rules."
  • Add an action called "Send Webhook" and paste the webhook URL.
  • Save the automation.
  • Send Test Data:
  • Submit a test form on your Systeme.io landing page to send data to Pabbly.

Now, Pabbly is ready to receive data from Systeme.io whenever someone submits the form.

Step 3: Creating the Custom Response in Pabbly

This step is where the magic happens. By using ChatGPT, you can generate personalized email responses based on the data collected from your opt-in page. Configuring this action in Pabbly ensures that the responses are tailored to each contact’s specific needs or interests, making your communication more effective and engaging.

  • Add an Action in Pabbly:
  • In your Pabbly workflow, add an action and select OpenAI/ChatGPT.
  • Configure the Fields:

  • Map the custom fields from Systeme.io to the prompt.
  • Test the Response:
  • Submit a test form on your Systeme.io landing page to send data to Pabbly.

Save and test the action to ensure ChatGPT generates the desired response.

Step 4: Sending the Response Back to Systeme.io

This step is crucial because it ensures that the ChatGPT-generated response is saved in Systeme.io. By updating the contact’s custom field with the response, you create a centralized location for storing personalized replies. This makes it easy to use the response in future emails or workflows.


Here’s how to do it:

  • Add Another Action in Pabbly:
  • Add an action and select Systeme.io.
  • Choose the action "Update Contact".
  • Map the ChatGPT Response:
  • Add the contact ID from the Systeme.io form submission.
  • Map the ChatGPT response to the "ChatGPT Response" custom field.
  • Test the Update:
  • Save and test the action to ensure the response is stored correctly.

Now, every time someone submits the form, their personalized ChatGPT response will be saved in Systeme.io.

Step 5: Automating the Email Response

This step is the final piece of the puzzle. By automating the email response, you ensure that the contact receives their personalized reply without any manual intervention. Adding a delay and removing the tag afterward resets the workflow, allowing it to be triggered again for future submissions. This step completes the automation process, delivering a seamless experience for both you and your audience.


Here’s how to do it:

  • Add a Tag in Pabbly:
  • Add another action in Pabbly and select Systeme.io.
  • Choose the action "Add Tag to Contact".
  • Add the contact ID and a tag like "Send Custom Email"
  • Set Up a Workflow in Systeme.io:
  • Go to Systeme.io and create a new workflow.
  • Set the trigger as "When Tag is Added" and select the tag you just created.
  • Add an action to "Send an Email".
  • Use the {chatgpt_response} placeholder in the email to include the personalized response.
  • Remove the Tag:
  • Add a delay of 1 minute to give ChatGPT time to generate the response.
  • Add an action to remove the tag, so the workflow can be triggered again in the future.

Now, every time someone submits the form, their personalized ChatGPT response will be saved in Systeme.io.

Testing the System

Now that everything is set up, it’s time to test the system:

  • Submit a test form on your Systeme.io landing page.
  • Check Pabbly to ensure the workflow runs correctly.
  • Verify that the ChatGPT response is saved in Systeme.io and sent to the contact via email.
